Restoring the Altar of the LORD on Mt. Carmel

The ministry has had a continued mandate from the Lord to express His love through humanitarian aid to hurting and needy people of all backgrounds. One of their foundational scriptures is “to share your food with the hungry and to provide shelter for the homeless and oppressed, to clothe the naked (Isaiah 58:7). To fulfill this word, their centers have been providing food, clothing and shelter to new immigrants, refugees, holocaust survivors and those facing serious economic situations.

Strategically positioned on the highest point of Mount Carmel, their calling is to proclaim the pure Word of God, and to worship the God of Israel in Spirit and in truth. Kehilat HaCarmel is committed to fervent, sustained intercession, “until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field (Carmel)” (Isaiah 32:15).

About

Kehilat HaCarmel

Kehilat HaCarmel’s founding vision is embedded in the Lord’s heart to reach both Jews and Arabs in Israel, and to demonstrate the reconciliation and unity that the Messiah Yeshua has already accomplished. As a community, we are dedicated to worshipping God in Spirit and in truth, and proclaiming the pure Word of God. We are striving to increase prayer in all areas and to making disciples of Messiah. The ministry has had a continued mandate from the Lord to express His love through humanitarian aid to hurting, needy people of all backgrounds. Our centers have provided housing, food, and assistance to new immigrants and refugees from Ukraine, Russia and Africa.

About the Leadership

Daniel Sayag
Lead Pastor

Daniel Sayag grew up in a traditional Jewish home in Israel. While serving in the Israeli army, he had an encounter with the God of Israel, and received Yeshua into his life as Messiah. He earned a degree in pastoral training from Israel College of the Bible, and in 2000, he was installed as a pastor of Kehilat HaCarmel. In 2009, Daniel planted a daughter congregation, Kehilat Kerem El, which meets in central Haifa. Daniel and his wife LuAnne, who oversees the women’s ministries and leads worship, have been blessed with three daughters, two son-in-laws, three granddaughters, a grandson, and one dog.

Peter Tsukahira
Co-Founder

Peter Tsukahira, Co-Founder of Kehilat HaCarmel and its related ministries, made aliyah with his family to Israel in 1987. Soon after the Gulf War ended in 1991, the congregation officially began and has continued all these years as a testimony to God’s faithfulness. Peter’s life was radically transformed by the Lord in the early 1970’s. He is a graduate of Tufts University, Christ for the Nations Institute and also holds a Master of Divinity degree. In 2000, Peter established the Mount Carmel School of Ministry which has impacted many from the nations with an understanding of God’s heart and strategic purposes for Israel and God’s kingdom. He has authored five books: his newest, “IRREPLACEABLE” addresses the error of “replacement” teaching about Israel; “My Father’s Business,” contains guidelines for ministry in the marketplace; “God’s Tsunami” looks at prophetic fulfillment involving Israel in the end times; “Culture of the Kingdom,” includes Peter’s journey of faith; and “EQUIP,” a manual for becoming an effective disciple in God’s kingdom.
